Consultancy Development Centre (CDC) is an Autonomous Institution of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) of Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.  CDC, working towards development and promotion of the consultancy profession in the country, strengthening Consultancy skills and capabilities including export of services and process co-operation with other countries. 

Over the past decade business organizations are focusing on diversity as a way of increasing their effectiveness and competitiveness.  This has led to the need for expertise in varied disciplines.  Since it is difficult for organizations to have in-house expertise of all types, the model of consulting including outsourcing has gained prominence resulting in growth pace of the consulting profession.  Thus the consulting profession in India has taken a turn around over the last few years and there has been a significant increase of consultants in the country comprising large (private and public) companies, small companies, individual experts, specialized organizations including R&D, academia and government departments. Being a heterogeneous discipline, the distinctions between the boundaries of various types of consultancies are diminishing with rapid technological and industrial developments. 

Further Industry expectations in today's competitive environment is that professionals engaged meet to assume the responsibilities in a short span of the time. Realizing this need Consultancy Development Centre is successfully running the following courses and their Objectives of CDCEducational Programme are :-

Key Features of the Programme

 
 

       All students will be enrolled as students of BITS, Pilani and successful students will be awarded the M.S.(Consultancy Management) degree by BITS, Pilani

       Students can register at any one of the four centers

       Students enrolled at a particular center shall have to appear the examination from the centre only

       The evaluation for each course in a semester shall be based on the performance in 2 assignments, mid term examination and end semester examination
