Engineering Schools in India I would recommend to the Aspiring Engineers….

In India the irony is the difference b/w the Tier 1 and Tier 2 Engineering colleges is so much that it can change your life/ career path and everything you can think.. of….. so I would recommend everyone to give his/her best to get into the Tier 1 schools… or otherwise better look into other options rather than doing Engineering just for the sake of it….

Engineering Colleges I would recommend IIT's, DCE, NSIT, BITS Pilani/Goa, NIT's, IIIT's, College of Engineering(Anna University),VJTI(Bombay),Indian school of mines, IT bhu and might be I have missed out on one or two but this is it… I would suggest you to even prefer College instead of your branch preference (though I believe that one should only do things that one loves to) but what I am saying in this context is that to get into a tier 1 college , get any branch of engineering and do whatever you feel like…after that in college … does'nt matter if you are from textile engineering and wishes to enter into a software company … just make urself worthy of that…… and who knows after 4 years your preference change from what they were while taking a call on which engineering college to go into…..

My thoughts on SOIL and Leadership

SOIL (School of Inspired Leadership) in Gurgaon has been setup to promote leadership qualities and skill, as its always been said that "Leaders are born not made" J and its true upto a certain extent.. Also sometimes we also require someone to bring out the inherent leadership skills.. or underestimated leadership qualities….

In India from whatever I have seen till date I truly felt that there's something lacking in our generation…. They have everything in them… but somehow scores badly in this area … I agree to the point that every1 can't be an initiator or go getter… and everyone is different and have certain unique traits but what I meant was in general these attributes are lacking….

I am not sure about the appropriate reasons for this phenomenon …. but yes.. something has to change if we want ourselves to be among the best…

SOIL offers programs like HR Leadership, Business/Global Leadership …. I would recommend everyone who's stuck into a stagnated profile or not been able score well in CAT/GMAT and other prestigious entry level exams to give a visit to SOIL and try exploring themselves instead of getting into a mediocre B School and doing regular things… after SOIL you might realize that you are born to do something BIG….. J even if you don't join SOIL just give these things a second thought…..
